The 5000 Year Leap.

Greetings, after a long absence,

I have been posting everywhere but here.

We are working on new sculptures. I have two Tufted Titmouse sculptures, and Dad has a Feeding Water Goose, a bust of Brenda and a Standing Woman sculpture, all waiting to have molds made, which is the hold up at this point. I am not sure when that phase will progress. In the meantime both Dad and myself are going to be working on Eagle sculptures.

I have become involved in the Constitutional movement that is growing in this country. I attended a recently formed group last night that is reading the book. The 5000 Year Leap, which tells the story of how our constitution came into being. A positive effect of recent economic and political developments is that awareness of our constitution is moving toward center stage. For a number of years I have been involved with an online philosophy discussion, in which, most participants were more familiar with the doctrines of Marxism, while barely aware of The Federalist Papers, which is the correspondence between our founding fathers during the time that they were formulating the constitution. It strikes me that while Marxism is based on the principles of class warfare, our constitution was modeled on the human character, and takes into consideration the full spectrum of human character, which is distributed across class boundaries. Publius crafted a governing system based on checks and balances of power. It is hopeful that as these troubled times unfold , the wisdom of our forefathers will once again become a mainstream influence that can guide us back to the founding principles of our nation.
